Fall Fashion Story // Shot using iPhone 7 Plus

September has always been the month for fashion, as well as the same time Apple releases a new iPhone. This year Apple released its new iPhone 7 Plus with the dual lenses. This new feature brings on a whole new set of capabilities, one of which is the depth effect within its new portrait mode. This allows for beautiful bokeh in broad daylight which is practically impossible to do with dslr cameras without a neutral density filter, which can be expensive for entry level photographers and often times inconvenient.

I got my hands on the new iPhone 7 Plus a few weeks ago and was on a mission to get the best photos I could during golden hour, Downtown Dallas in the Cedars neighborhood; A real rural part of town with lots of texture and history surrounding it.

Immediately after shooting with the iPhone 7 Plus I realized how important this could be for the world of not only fashion but for storytelling as a whole. The ability to select our focus on our subjects at moments notice is something that's been missing from mobile photography. This ability only adds value to storytellers and specifically storytellers with low budgets and at speeds to tell their stories like never before.
